Part 4

After the COVID pandemic we will need to rebuild. When starting to rebuild, you have to start with a foundation. In this passage, Peter uses this metaphor for how we are to build the church.

Cornerstone

Before concrete, builders had to use a huge, square-cut stone as a foundation for building. Jesus is the perfect cornerstone for us to build our lives upon. He is a sure foundation to weather any storm that life can throw our way.

People who believe in Jesus like that are the church. We are a global family of believers. We are part of this because of God's grace, and that alone.

Communion of Saints

In our individualistic culture, we are unusual to be people who depend on communion with each other. We are a community of God's people and rely on that to live our lives in faith.
